Transferring Betting Records

When upgrading to a new computer, you can transfer your existing betting records, track profiles, and race preferences to the new machine.

Prerequisites

Installation of ValueCapper must be completed on the new computer before beginning the migration process.

Migration Steps

1. Locate the Database File

On your old computer, find the database file at:

C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\PostTimeSolutions\ValueCapper\Data\pts.db

Replace UserName with your Windows username.

2. Transfer the File

Copy the pts.db file to removable media (USB drive) or transfer it directly via your local network.

3. Prepare the New Computer

  1. Connect your storage device to the new machine if using USB transfer
  2. Stop ValueCapper entirely before proceeding with file placement

4. Place the File

Copy the pts.db file to the corresponding directory on your new computer:

C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\PostTimeSolutions\ValueCapper\Data

5. Launch ValueCapper

Start ValueCapper on the new machine.

Expected Outcome

Once properly positioned, the application will recognize and display all previous betting records and track profiles. Future entries will be stored locally on the new system.
