Fixing "Failed to Retrieve Customer Status"
When attempting to download race cards, ValueCapper might display "Failed to Retrieve Customer Status". If so, it means the software was unable to connect to our server to verify your account. This is almost always caused by one of two things: an outdated version of the software, or a lost internet connection.
Cause 1: Outdated Software
Older versions of ValueCapper could not connect to our servers using the latest security protocols. This prevents them from verifying your account. Updating to the latest version resolves this in most cases.
See Installing ValueCapper for a full walkthrough of downloading and installing the latest version. If your license has lapsed, also see Updating an Expired License.
Cause 2: No Internet Connection
ValueCapper must be online to verify your customer status. If your computer is offline, or a firewall or antivirus program is blocking the software, you'll see this error even on the latest version.
- Confirm your computer can reach the internet (open a website in your browser).
- Check that a firewall or antivirus program isn't blocking ValueCapper.
- Close and reopen ValueCapper to try again.
