Configuration Files

ValueCapper configuration files typically require minimal manual intervention. However, users may need to locate these files if corruption occurs or when transferring settings to a different computer.

Locating Configuration Files

Follow these steps to find your ValueCapper configuration:

  1. Launch Windows File Explorer
  2. Click "This PC" in the left sidebar
  3. Open the C: drive
  4. Navigate through folders to:
C:\Users\YOURNAME\AppData\Local\PostTimeSolutions\ValueCapper\Config

Replace YOURNAME with your Windows username.

The configuration folder contains .settings files that store your preferences.

Transferring Configuration to Another PC

To migrate your settings, simply copy all the .settings files in this folder to the same location on your new PC, using a USB thumb drive or network share.

Resolving Configuration Corruption

If ValueCapper malfunctions and you suspect a corrupted configuration file:

  1. Close ValueCapper completely
  2. Delete the Config folder noted above
  3. Relaunch ValueCapper

The application will regenerate default settings automatically.
